TRUCK COMPANY FIRE

 May 6, 2017

***Working Fire***
At approximately 0700 hours this morning Truck Company 9 was alerted to respond to the 5500 block of Kenilworth Avenue in the town of Riverdale for a reported building on fire. Truck 9 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the first floor on side Alpha. Entry was forced into the store and primary searches were conducted by the interior crew while the outside team laddered the building and began ventilation. The fire was quickly extinguished and held to the unit of origin. Crews operated for approximately 1.5 hours before returning to service. This is the 3rd working fire for company 9 in 5 days.
