Shortly after 2300 hours, Engine 92, 94 and Truck 9 were alerted to 6181 Annapolis Road for the gas station on fire. Engine 30 arrived on the scene of a 50x50 gas station, with fire showing from the front. The 16 Volunteers from Bladensburg were the next to arrive. Engine 94 stretched a back up line, while 92 ran a line to the bays. Truck 9 assisted in opening up and a quick search of the store. Crews located an office area off and extension in the roof area. It took about 15 minutes to contain the fire and Command (Chief 33) started reducing the assignment. Engine's 9 and 30 worked inside, while the Truck crew and Squad 33 opened up the roof and overhang for extension. Crews worked until 0200 hours opening up and hitting hot spots. Company cleared the scene around 0210 hours.
