Shortly before dinner, units from the Fifth Battalion were alerted to 538 Wilson Bridge Drive for the apartment fire. Engine 21 arrived on the scene of a three story garden apartment with fire showing from the front and rear. During the initial attack, Command requested the second and third alarm to the scene. Truck 9 (6 men) responded as the second due Truck on the Third alarm. Truck 9 arrived on the scene behind the second alarm units. Truck 9 and other units were staged on Indian Head Highway for 90 minutes before being released.

This makes the 6th fire for the Volunteers in the last 7 days.
