Early Christmas morning at 3:29AM, the Engine Company and Truck Company from Bladensburg were alerted to the area of 4832 67th Avenue, for the report of a house on fire. Engine Company 30 from Landover Hills soon arrived to find fire showing from the bravo side and attic of a single family home. The Engine Company, Truck Company and Deputy Chief arrived with 14 volunteers. The Engine Company laid out from a secondary hydrant, and stretched a handline to Side Charlie to backup the companies operating on the 1st floor. The Truck Company arrived, and was directed by Command to get searches done for occupants that were still reported to be trapped inside. Fire was quickly extinguished, and contained to the attic, kitchen and the exterior wall on Side Bravo. The searches completed by the Truck Company proved negative, and the incident was scaled back to the Engine Company, Truck Company from Bladensburg, and the first due Engine Company.
